MEDICAL MISSION PRAISE REPORT

February 6 2012, Monday
Valley Praise Mission Team with the Living Rock Mission Team staged a medical-dental mission at Living Rock Balabag located at Brgy. Kasadyahan, Balabag, Pavia. The area is a relocation site for squatters from different parts of Pavia and Iloilo City. A lot of people here have no stable jobs. Drugs, drinking and gambling are common pastimes among young and adult males and even some women. Children ages 3-7 are numerous in the area.

The Team ministered to more than 117 people (many were not listed in the registration forms). Every person who came for medical-dental checkup passed through the Evangelism Room where they heard the Gospel shared with them by Valley Praise Mission Team members with the help of local church members.

Adult attendance has increased from 12 to 41-65 (two Sundays after the Mission) and children's attendance has more than doubled (from 20 to 45). Living Rock Iloilo City has sent two workers to augment the work there.

The following day, Tuesday, Teams went to the Living Rock Church in Siwalo, Maasin where they ministered to more than 123 individuals (some were not listed in the forms, especially the kids). The church is located on a mountain where most of the people are involved in agriculture or bamboo craft. The people here, though poor, mostly own their own lands.

Again, everyone who came in for checkup went through the Evangelism Room where they heard the Gospel of Salvation and Received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
